Product Review: "Angels On Bare Skin"

Hello my darlings! I know it's been awhile but don't judge me, I'm just going to jump right in.

I spent a weekend in Charleston at the beginning of the month and lucky enough stumbled into their Lush store. Now you know my love for lush and their products, and because I'm not much of an online shopper (I know, I'm different) I haven't "restocked" my supply since being back in the states. So, of course one thing led to another and I decided to splurge and purchased the Angels On Bare Skin face and body cleanser. Because this is my first time using this product I figured I would do a little product review for you...lets go:

I get to brag on Lush a little bit because this company is literally so fantastic and if you are not familiar with them I highly recommend checking them out ( They only use recycled, reusable or compostable materials and recycled plastic bottles and biodegradable bags. They're products are 100% vegetarian and they are firm believers of fighting animal testing/cruelty. I have used several of their products in the past and have only had nice things to say. I mentioned one of their products a while back in my "Top Three Skin Care Favorites" post before I left for Hawaii and let me tell you, their products have done nothing but good things for my skin. Like I said everything they use is all natural so there is no fear of harsh chemicals hidden in their products.

This is the honestly one of the best facial cleansers I've used. It's incredibly gentle on my skin and has reduced almost all of the redness in my complexion (blessed). It is a dual cleanser for both the face and the body but I have only used it on my face, mostly because (heads up for a downer) this product is a bit expensive. Now in comparison to some facial cleansers on the market it is significantly cheaper but I spent almost $20usd on 3.5oz. The next size up is the 8.4oz which retails online for $38.95 (not including shipping). Granted that's more than double the size I purchased but I just can't justify buying a $40 cleanser right now.

I've been using the product for the past 3 weeks now and like I said, have noticed a difference in my complexion. It also works as a mild, gentle exfoliant and I've already begun to notice some of my scaring begin to fade. It smells absolutely divine darling, I blame that on the lavender and the rose/chamomile oils. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized and hydrated but I will say it doesn't make my skin feel as soft as I thought it would. I had better results by using coconut oil as my only moisturizer on a consistent basis. Not saying it doesn't make my skin feel smooth...just not as smooth as I'm used to, if that makes sense.

Okay so the way this works:

I start by taking a pea size amount in the palm of my hand. I sprinkle a bit of warm water on the product and work into a paste. I then begin to work the paste all over my face in GENTLE circular motions. I say gentle because it is an exfoliant and too much rubbing can cause some mild irritation. I rinse with warm water and pat my face dry with a towel (pat, don't rub). Follow up with moisturizer of your choice, I recommend picking something made by the same company so you're not mixing formulas.

That's all for my product review. Let me know your thoughts and if you found this post helpful/informative or if you would like me to continue these kind of reviews.
